4-Pole Metal Male Plug & Female Socket Trailer Connector Set 20 Amp 1 Set/pk

Mating 4-Pole Metal Female Socket and Male Plug Trailer Connector set. The 4-Pole Trailer Connectors are typically found on small utility, boat and camper trailers where only turn signals and taillights are needed. Both connectors are chrome plated die cast metal for long lasting performance. To install Female Socket select a location, drill a 1" hole and pull Vehicle wires through hole. If Vehicle Wires are too short, splice additional lengths of wire using correct gauge wire and Butt Connectors. Remove set screw Socket and pull terminal assemble from Socket. Attach Vehicle Wires to assemble taking note that Set screw is always to top of Connector and position of Left Turn Wire, Right Turn Wire, Taillight Wire and Ground Wire on assemble. Pull assemble back through Connector and firmly tighten set screw. Mount Socket into pre-drilled 1" hole and drill two 1/4" mounting holes using Socket as a template. Mount with 1/4" stud bolts and nuts. Remove set screw from Male Plug Connector and pull assemble out of Connector. Insert Trailer wires through back end of Plug and attach to assembly taking note that set screw is always to top of connector and the position of wires for Left Turn (yellow), Right Turn (green), Taillight (brown) and Ground (white) Wires will be in a reverse position as those of Female Socket. Pull Assemble back through Plug and tighten Set Screw. Plug Socket & Plug together and with engine running test all Trailer lighting functions. When trouble shooting test first for good ground wires, and then using a Circuit Tester check for correct function of Vehicle Wires to Trailer Wires. Correct as needed.
