Improve the efficiency of your wood stove by regulating air flow to help control the burn rate of the fire with this Imperial 8-in cast iron damper. The damper is designed for use in 8-in diameter single-wall stove pipe, and features a spring-loaded handle that stays cool to the touch and is easy to rotate to allow simple operation to open and close the damper. It has a quality cast iron construction for strength and durability for lasting performance. 18-in minimum clearance from combustible materials (wall) is required. Always orient the crimped end of stove pipe and fittings toward the stove, to ensure condensation and creosote created during the burn process will flow on the inside. Secure the stove pipe system using a minimum of 3 stove pipe screws at each connection. Always comply with local codes and requirements.
